Science is about the physical world in our universe and our dimension of reality. It does not and can not examine or understand anything outside of this realm. It would be dishonest, creepy and misleading  to speak about a subject that is not knowable by your scientific methods.                

 

 

Religion never seems to learn it's lesson. We all know that Science was once performed by magicians and alchemists, but I admit they were pretty amazing. Newton studied Alchemy on the side and it combined religious mysticism, numerology, astrology with natural & chemical experiments, and other things. 

 

Scientists told us the world was flat and we believed them. They told us that the earth was the center of the universe, in a physical way and we believed them. They told us that the planets and sun revolved around the earth and once again we believed them because it seemed to match some verses in the Bible.

 

Then the Catholic and now the Protestants did something foolish, they incorporated the human, finite, fallible worldview into their religious philosophy and backed science up with Bible quotes and they're still doing it.

 

I love reading that the earth is between 6-10,000 years old, by "Scientific" Creationists. I love reading about Intelligent Design & Progressive Creation theories, but I have come to admit that the Bible is one thing and this human world is another. If you hang your religious beliefs on the scientific coat-rack you may find you religious coat missing when you leave... lost or stolen. Science prides itself on changing its beliefs. Religion tries desperately to hang on to it's core beliefs & it shouldn't foolishly surrender its sacred trust of Divine revelation to neutral or hostile parties & forces. The Bible is higher, deeper and holier than the words on the page.

 

Society believes that its human common sense & survival techniques are wiser than the advice and morality of the Bible. We are under attack and they are destroying the foundation the walk on.

 

I’m not going to defend the Bible anymore. I believe by faith that Jesus answered my prayer and he proved himself to me.

 

“For those who believe no evidence is necessary.

For those who don’t believe, no evidence can convince them.”

 

The Bible proofs, the miraculous nature of it, the help and comfort it gives us is for the believer. The scientist must believe and operate one way in the lab and a different way in his/her church. Should I try to fix a car based on the principles of the Bible? Most likely I will find out how to fix the car first and then make the Bible verses fit around that knowledge. Why not learn with teachers and experience and thank God for creating, sustaining life & redeeming life from guilt, sin, death and Hell?

 

 

Science is technological, helpful, destructive, not accountable to the environment, the people or the governments or to God. Science will be judged in the future on whether it was more helpful or more destructive. The jury is still out on that.

 

As a Christian I benefit from scientific theories that have a high statistical reliability, that prove themselves over and over but I know that in some circumstances there may be an exception to that theory about a rule. Is that where miracles happen?  Maybe, but I don’t even want to speculate. If I want a miracle I’ll pray. If I’m cured I don’t care how God did it, just that I’m healed. Let the doctor discover how God cured me, if he can.

 

I’m cautioning the Churches not to keep backing Evolution or Creationism,

the Big Bang Theory or the Steady State Theory. Let’s continue to say,

Let the scientists guess, fail, have hoaxes revealed, find out they were completely or partially wrong, like Piltdown Man, Nebraska Man, Neanderthal Man (an extinct modern man) that’s their job.

The Catholic apologists & Church says,

 

What nonsense, what kind of science? Science without a “missing link”?

Theistic Evolution? Atheistic Evolution? Micro Evolution? Creationist theory?

This causes confusion. Define your terms please.

 

We are to promote religion, Jesus, brotherly love. Let us stop glorifying such a generic word as “Science” or “Evolution” that often have religion-hating & religion-destroying connotations in them.

Facts:  Darwin popularized the first Evolutionary Theory that was also atheistic.

           Freud popularized the first atheistic psychic mental sciences (psychology).

 

Even if a scientific fact is 0-60% accurate, like psychology or anthropology or even 99%, as some aspects of the physics in this solar system have been, so what?

 

Given enough time most theories fail.

 

What about the 1% that we can't rely on?

 

God is not bound by the rules & laws of the science of our world, even though He created them from nothing. He is above and beyond our dimension & universe and yet He is in this universe, it’s complicated & it would take thousands of years more to even verify  the most basic of our theories .

 

That's not what Eastern religions usually teach (Pantheism:  God is the Universe, we are the Universe, we are the World).

Atheism teaches: 

"We don't need God only  an unintelligent Universe, that is not a person, but 'it' combined with 'chance' somehows creates intelligent beings that love and search for God, all by accident!!"

 

If, contraception that has a 1% failure rate it will allow a 70% chance of pregnancy in a ten year period.

 

So much for one percent. It's not the best we have, the Bible & the orthodox Churches are giving us the way to Salvation. It's a 100% guarantee of Salvation necessary Truth. That doesn't mean everyone will accept that truth...Here's what I would say, study science & use it for God's glory, but don't make it into an idol and reject God because of it.

Our job is to tell you, Jesus Christ is God’s son, the Savior of the world.

 

That's my job as a Christian to let someone else know.

 

God does exist and He wants you to be good

and to love Him.

 

Don’t get caught in worshipping nature, secular truth, & popular beliefs.

Nature is nothing but a creation, ex nihilo by God, but if it points us to God then it is good.
